Carnival of Barranquilla

The Carnival of Barranquilla is the party most important folk and cultural Colombia.Más Barranquilla and one million people, including locals and visitors annually participate in the festival, which takes place from Saturday until Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.

The Barranquilla Carnival birth occurred in the nineteenth century, and currently involves about five hundred folk groups (costumes and floats) and generates an estimated forty billion dollars in revenue.

The Carnival is a cultural event in which all varieties are expressed cultural and folklore of the Caribbean Coast and the most diverse local cultural events, folk music and dancing. It is the most representative of the city that each year attracts and strangers.
